Bohemian Rhapsody - Review

Image
Hey guys! So, it is no secret that I am a Queen fan and when I heard that the movie is going to release two weeks late in India, I was deeply saddened by the news. Now that it’s finally out, I watched it as soon as I could and I am here to tell you what I thought of it! PLOT: Bohemian Rhapsody tells the story of Freddie Mercury, the popular rock star and leader of the popular 80’s band Queen after he meets his bandmates, Brian May, Roger Taylor, and John Deacon, and their rise to fame. CAST: Rami Malek: Freddie Mercury Ben Hardy: Roger Taylor Gwilym Lee: Brian May Joe Mazello: John Deacon Lucy Boynton: Mary Austin Allen Leech: Paul Prenter Aidan Gillen: John Reid REVIEW: Well, Bohemian Rhapsody was a movie I was looking forward to for a very long time and now that it’s here, I have a few things to say. For starters, hats off to Dexter Fletcher. At no given point of time does the movie feel like a product of two visions (he replaced Bryan Sing

Johnny English Strikes Again Spoiler Free Review!

Hey guys!! So, Johnny English Strikes Again just came out in theatres and being a longstanding Rowan Atkinson fan, I just had to watch it the first chance I got.  So, without further ado, here are my thoughts on Johnny English Strikes Again. PLOT: When a huge cyber attack takes place on London, leaving the identity of every active MI7 agents exposed, retired agent Johnny English is called upon to get to the bottom of these attacks and find the man responsible.   CAST: Rowan Atkinson: Johnny English Olga Kurylenko: Miss Bulletova Ben Miller: Bough Emma Thompson: Prime Minister Jake Lacy: Jason Volta REVIEW: For starters, Johnny English Strikes Again is a fairly short movie, with a runtime of 1 hour 30 minutes and has a fairly small cast. With director David Kerr (of 2016’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream), I knew not to expect a lot of it and I was correct. The movie is hilarious, no doubt, but there are various elements in the film to bring it down. For st

Ant-Man and the Wasp - Spoiler Free Review

Image
Hey guys! So Ant-Man and the Wasp came out last week and I know I'm late, but I had exams (forgive me?) and the reactions range from it being super awesome to super boring. One of my close friends even had this to say about the movie: "It acts as a filler for Infinity War". So in this review, I'll tell you what I thought about the movie. PLOT: The movie runs parallel to Infinity War and takes place while the entire event is taking place in the background. So after, Civil War, Scott Lang is placed under house arrest. Following an experiment conducted by Hope Van Dyne and Hank Pym, Scott gets a dream in which Janet Van Dyne (wife of Hank Pym, presumed dead) she gives evidence of being alive. With three days left for the house arrest to get over, he is kidnapped by Hope and Hank in order to get Janet back! Will they succeed? And can Scott stay out of the sights of the cops for three days while saving the world? CAST: Scott Lang/Ant-Man: Paul Rudd Hope Van Dyne/

Hey, guys! So, Dwayne Johnson's first blockbuster film is here and boy, is it entertaining. No, in fact, entertaining is a bit of an understatement for the movie... It's a recipe for awesomeness. With one super-hit after another, it seem that the Rock is going to rock the big screen for a while now. Enough with the puns, lets get on with the review: PLOT: In this movie, Dwayne Johnson plays a primatologist who has a friend in an albino gorilla, which is the last of it's kind. When it gets infected by a pathogen crashing from space and starts growing rapidly in size, speed, strength and agility, Davis Okoye (Dwayne Johnson) along with his new friend Kate Cladwell, an expert on genetic editing, have to stop the albino gorilla, named George, and two other genetically mutaged animals from destroying the world. CAS T: Dwayne Johnson : Davis Okoye  Naomi Harris : Kate Cladewell Jeffrey Dean Morgan : Agent Russell Malin Ackerman : Claire Wyden Jake Lacy : Bret

Ernest Cline - Books Review

Image
Hey, guys! Today I'm trying something new. I'm reviewing two books at once today. The two books in questions are : Armada and Ready Player One, both written by American novelist Ernest Cline. So here we go: 1) Ready Player One (published in 2011)      Ready Player One is the first of two books published by part-time American novelist and full time geek, Ernest Cline.    The book is set in the year 2044, a dystopian future  which is facing a global energy crisis from the depletion of fossil fuels due to overpopulation, and global warming causing widespread social problems and economic stagnation. The citizens of this apocalyptic world use submersive technology to escape their lives to live inside a video game called as the OASIS. The OASIS is a virtual reality Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game (or an MMORPG).    When the creator of this video game, James Halliday, suddenly dies, leaving behind a set of clues that lead to infinite riches and
