Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle : Spoiler Free Review

Hey, guys!

So, Dwayne Johnson's new movie Jumanji released, which is his whopping third movie of the year. At this point, Dwayne Johnson is no longer a human, but a force of nature. He is unstoppable! Even his new movie's trailer, Rampage, is also out.

Anyways, back to the review.

PLOT:
Four students with conflicting personalities, get sucked into an old video game called Jumanji. They transform into the characters they had chosen to play. Their quest is a race against time to lift a curse off an island and save it from the dangerous villain Van Pelt.

CAST:
Dwayne Johnson: Dr. Bravestone
Karen Gillan: Ruby Roundhouse
Kevin Hart: Mouse Finnbar
Jack Black: Prof. Shelly Oberon
Nick Jonas: Alex Vreene
Bobby Cannavle: Van Pelt

REVIEW:
Many people would think that this movie is an unnecessary sequel to an old classic film. I think this movie is unnecessary, but entertaining. It picks off around a few years after the first movie ends, in 1996 on the beach and goes on from there. It looks quite cheesy in the beginning but escalates quickly.

Dwayne Johnson is portrayed as the lead and hogs up a lot of the screen time and the audience is reminded, more than one times, that he is the protagonist. Dwayne Johnson reminds me of the overpowered Superman from the DC Comics. Karen Gillan is shown as a strong and powerful woman who has some moments of her own in which she shines, and when she does, she makes sure that she outshines all other characters in the movie. Kevin Hart plays a stereotypical popular kid at school (stereotypical as in not good at studies, thinks with his fists, plays good sports and always in trouble). I think his role in the movie was to provide things to Dwayne Johnson, at times providing comic relief, but other than that he has no significant part in the movie.

Bobby Cannavale as Van Pelt, the villain. I think that the villain was forced into the movie. He has a weird power of controlling every animal on the island. For a villain, their main aim should be to strike fear in audience's hearts and Van Pelt just fails to do that. This was not the actor's fault, but that of the character's. Nick Jonas had a minor, but a good role. He played Captain Seaplane. He was essential to the story line and made a good plot device.

A special shoutout goes to Jack Black, who by far acted the best in the movie. His role is that of a pretty, young girl stuck in the body of an overweight, middle-aged man. Jack Black, a masculine actor, melted into the shoes of a young girl. The movie was pretty entertaining, and let me tell you this, it was pretty damn good.

Dwayne Johnson fans will not be disappointed and people will like Karen Gillan's role.
