Thor: Ragnarok - Review

Hey, guys!
Today, I'm gonna do a review of the Marvel's latest addition to the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe), Thor Ragnarok.

 Plot:
A mysterious Goddess of Death, Hela, has been unleashed. As she takes control of Asgard, the famed God of Thunder is at the edge of the universe, with problems of his own. Teaming up with Hulk, a Valkyrie, Loki (yes, him) and bunch of others, he must do everything in his power to stop Hela from triggering Ragnarok, the destruction of Asgard. One problem, most of his powers lied in his hammer, Mjonlnir (It's not gibberish), which is now destroyed.

Review (what I thought of the movie):
So (as it's no secret) Marvel's retro look worked out really well (Guardians of the Galaxy and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2) and they have decided to apply it in Thor. Boy, has it worked out well. Thor Ragnarok gives us the best Thor movie yet and also the best MCU movie of the year (which was tough competition, I'm looking at you, Guardians).
The movie was a perfect cocktail blend of action and comedy. It had great CGI and awesome acting from all. Thanks villain was convincing and the danger seemed very real. Although it seems as if the trailer of the movie reveals a lot, the movie watcher would be pleasantly surprised to know that it actually reveals nothing. We see Thor stop relying on his hammer for his powers and finally stand on his own too feet. Also, some scenes may be a bit graphic for young users.





We also see celebrity cameos from the likes of Matt Damon, Benedict Cumberbatch and Stan Lee (obviously). Also, there is almost no hint of Marvel's upcoming movies (Black Panther and Avengers: Infinity War), except a little text at the end of the long credits saying, Thor Will Return in Avengers Infinity War.

All in all, I give the movie 4.7/5

Hey guys! So, last night I watched Ingmar Bergman's 1957 masterpiece, The Seventh Seal. The film  is largely in the Swedish language. and is perhaps one of the most deeply profound, complex, and brilliant films I have seen.  The film follows a knight, Antonius Block (Max Von Sydow), and his squire, J (Gunnar Bjornstrand), as they return home from the Crusades. He comes home to find his country ravaged by the plague. When he arrives, he is greeted by Death, who has been following him for quite a while. Antonius challenges Death to a game of chess to prolong his life so that he can look for answers regarding his questions about God.  All the while, the Knight and his squire journey throughout the land gathering a troupe of different people and witnessing the horrors and the cruelty that the plagu e has brought about in people.  So today, I will try to explain two of the most prominent themes of the film: God and Humanity.

Wonder Woman 84 - Spoiler Free Review

 Hey guys! So... I haven't done one of these in a while huh. Well, I just saw Wonder Woman 84 and it's the only superhero blockbuster comic book movie I have seen all year... quite literally. So given that, it's probably the best movie in that genre I saw all year. Wake Up, Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery (Spoiler Free Review)

 What an apt movie name to revive this blog with, huh? Hey guys. I started this blog when I was 15, obsessed with movies and regularly reading and writing.
