Hey guys, I saw the movie adaptation of Agatha Christie's famed novel, Murder On The Orient Express today and here's what I thought of it.

But can he trust anyone, because everyone is a suspect...

CAST:
Kenneth Branagh: Hercule Poirot
Johnny Depp: Ractchett
Daisy Ridley: Mary Debenham
Michelle Pfeiffer: Mrs. Hubbard
Judi Dench: Princess Dragomiroff
Penelope Cruz: Pilar Estravados
Josh Gad: MacQueen
Leslie Odom Jr.: Doctor Arbuthnot
Willem DeFoe: Mr. Hardman

WHAT I THOUGHT OF THE MOVIE:
Well I have to admit, I was expecting something a lot less cooler than what the movie delivered. Despite having read the book around 5-6 times, the movie managed to keep on the edge of my seat for a majority part. Nothing is what it seems with this murder mystery. The acting is quite good and he dialogue is also pretty impressive. With a runtime of a little under 2 hours, the movie is a longer than expected but good nonetheless.
One thing I have to point out is that the movie is filled with stunning shots of the train, Istanbul and close ups of Hercule Poirot. The train has been beautifully portrayed as a majestic beast stalled by the force of nature. Scenes of flashbacks of the Armstrong family and other sequences have a black and white filter in them, giving me the feel of a movie from the 1930s.
People, fans of Agatha Christie and other alike, will like this movie as a one time watch, but a necessary watch. There are a few faults that I could spot here and there but if I try to explain, I'm afraid I might give away more than I'm supposed to.

I would give this movie a 3.5/5
